| Stars Pick Up 4-1 Win Against Fukuoka | The Nagasaki Stars got a marvelous performance from pitcher Akimasa Murakami. The right-hander kept the Fukuoka offense from ever getting much traction. The result was an impressive 4-1 Nagasaki victory at Fukuoka Stadium. With the victory, the Stars upped their record to 41-35.
Nagasaki used the clutch hitting of Tatsuhiko Ueda to snag the win. The right fielder drilled a 3-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Stars ahead, 4-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a crucial one.
"I'm just looking to see the ball, hit the ball," said Ueda.
