| Sailors Suffer 7-3 Loss to Bees | The Vesutan Bees beat the Osaka Sailors by a score of 7-3. Vesutan shortstop Hyuuga Kimura deserved the lion's share of the credit. Kimura went 3 for 5 with 3 singles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once for the Bees. Tatsuki Goto picked up the win with 8 innings of work. He allowed 3 runs on 6 hits, while walking 3 and striking out 3. On the season, he is now 6-8. With the win, Vesutan pushed its record to 33-33.
A key moment came with two out in the bottom of the second. That's when Kimura hit a fastball from Yukiharu Goto for a 2-run single, putting Vesutan up, 3-0.
"If I can still take nourishment, I can still hit," said the ageless Kimura.
