| Bulls Bedevil Sailors, 4-3 | The Kobe Bulls took Osaka pitcher Takahiko Kurata's best shot and still were able to claim a win at Kotei Stadium. The final score had Kobe getting past the Sailors, 4-3. Kurata went 9 innings and allowed 4 runs, striking out 5. Kobe reliever Shiroku Terada picked up the win, upping his record to 3-5. Takahiko Kurata took the loss. Getting the save was Kozo Miyaji, his 1st.
The game was at a stalemate until pinch hitter Tatsuharu Oto came to bat in the top of the ninth. Facing Osaka pitcher Takahiko Kurata, he hit a 2-0 fastball for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Kobe on top, 4-3.
"I had pretty good command out there," said Oto.
With the win, the Bulls have a record of 38-31.
