| Komatsu Now 5-8 After Beating Sailors | Baseball fans saw a good contest between the Kobe Bulls and Osaka Sailors.
The Kobe Bulls got great pitching from 1968 Noburu Kagawa Award winner Arata Komatsu, allowing them to bump off the Osaka Sailors, 1-0. Picking up the save was Shinya Kawakami, his 22nd.
Komatsu allowed no runs on 2 hits over 8 innings for Kobe. With the win, the southpaw is 5-8 with an ERA of 3.84.
Afterward, Osaka manager Bill Sherrill said: "We've hit a rough patch."
