| Fukuoka Dispatched, 4-3, by Vesutan | The Vesutan Bees picked up a win at Fukuoka Stadium, downing the Fukuoka Falcons, 4-3. On the mound for Vesutan was right-hander Genjo Fujii, who played a pivotal role in the win. Picking up his 3rd save was 23-year old right-handed pitcher Hirokatsu Funakoshi. Vesutan is now 30-28, while Fukuoka is 33-30.
Tetsuya Watanabe had a key at-bat with no one out in the bottom of the fifth for Vesutan. With runners on 1st and 3rd and the Bees leading 3-1, he hit a sacrifice fly.
"Coming in, from the get-go, I knew my stuff was good," said Fujii.
