The Vesutan Bees and Nagasaki Stars completed their game despite the inclement weather.

The Vesutan Bees beat the Nagasaki Stars, 8-7, at Nagasaki Prefecture Stadium. The Bees got a fine performance from third baseman Taiji Miyakawa, who went 2-5 with a home run and a double. He scored 3 times and drove in 3. The winner was Toshimichi Yamamoto in relief. His record improves to 3-2. Yutaka Kameda took the loss. Earning his 1st save for Vesutan was Hank Walker.

In the top of the ninth inning, Vesutan got a key at-bat from Miyakawa. With one out, runners on 2nd and 3rd and the Bees trailing 7-5, Miyakawa hit a 2-run double.

"To get where we want to as a team, we all have to do things out of our comfort zone," Miyakawa told the Vesutan Citizen.

The 4th-place Stars have lost 6 consecutive games.
