| Stars Fall, 3-1, to Kobe | Baseball fans saw a good contest between the Kobe Bulls and Nagasaki Stars.
The Kobe Bulls, behind a great outing from Arata Komatsu, who finished 2nd in the EL in innings pitched with 228.0 in 1961, defeated the Nagasaki Stars, 3-1, at Matsunoki Stadium. With the victory, the Bulls record stands at 41-19.
Oscar Abbott hit a 2-run home run off Koson Mitsunaga in the bottom of the sixth, which put the Bulls ahead, 2-0. In addition to the homer, Abbott had 1 double, while going 2 for 4.
"I still think this team has room for improvement," Abbott told the Kobe Times.
