| Kobe Pockets 5-2 Win Over Nagasaki | The home crowd came to cheer on their first-place Kobe Bulls.
Riding the 2-hit performance of the 25-year old catcher Kouki Ono, the Kobe Bulls defeated the Nagasaki Stars, 5-2. Kakuya Izumi was the winner. Over 6 innings, he yielded 2 runs on 7 hits, with 5 walks and 3 strikeouts.
Ono had a consequential at-bat in the bottom of the first for the Bulls. Coming up with runners on 2nd and 3rd and Kobe trailing 2-1, he hit a 2-run single.
"Nice to see our side come away with the win," Ono said after the game.
Kobe now sits at 40-19, while Nagasaki falls to 27-29.
