| Bees Go Down to Defeat, 8-4 | At Fukuoka Stadium, the Vesutan Bees and Kinboshi Kites were greeted by an enthusiastic crowd.
The Kinboshi Kites cut down the Vesutan Bees by the score of 8-4, with the largest share of the credit going to shortstop Ayahito Yamamoto. Yamamoto was 2-3 with a triple and 2 walks, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for the Kites. Teruaki Koyama got the win, improving to 7-2. He pitched 6 innings, giving up 6 hits and 2 runs, while striking out 1 and walking 4.
In the first inning, Yamamoto had a 2-run triple for Kinboshi. It was his 5th triple of the season and put the Kites on top, 2-0.
"I'm just trying to make good contact," said Yamamoto, "one at-bat at a time."
The Kites, at 47-34, sit in first place in the Western League.
