| Falcons 4-2 Winners Versus Kinboshi | The Fukuoka Falcons and Kinboshi Kites completed their game despite the inclement weather.
Fukuoka turned a good performance from starting pitcher Tsuneteru Fujiwara into a 4-2 triumph over the Kinboshi Kites at Fukuoka Stadium. The winning pitcher was Fujiwara, now 5-7. He tossed 8 innings of 4-hit ball, while walking 2 and fanning 4.
Yasuhiko Kawasaki, who led the WL in home runs with 38 last year, took Kinboshi hurler Kyuso Ikeda deep in the bottom of the seventh. His 2-run home run put the Falcons on top, 3-2. In all, Kawasaki had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.
"It takes a lot of things to win a ballgame," said Fukuoka manager Kamlyn Kadota. "It's usually not just one thing."
Today's win puts Fukuoka at 25-30, while Kinboshi falls to 28-28.
