| Bees Take Tight Tilt, 3-2 | The Vesutan Bees racked up a win at Fukuoka Stadium, bumping off the Fukuoka Falcons, 3-2. Genjo Fujii, who started for Vesutan, pitched effectively for his team. Fujii, now 3-4, was the winner. In 9 innings, he gave up 9 hits, while striking out 3, walking 4, and allowing 2 runs. The winning streak has now reached 5 games for the Bees.
The Bees got a big at-bat from right fielder Tomeo Okinaka. For the game, Okinaka went 1-4 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the third, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 8th home run of the season gave Vesutan a 3-2 lead.
"Genjo pounded the strike zone and made good pitches when he needed to," said Vesutan manager Jim Harper.
