| Bulls Score 7-1 Win Against Fukuoka | It might have been a rain-shorted game, but the hometown crowd didn't seem to mind.
Masali Tabata pitched a gem to lead Kobe to victory over the Fukuoka Falcons, 7-1. Fukuoka has now lost 5 consecutive games.
Takaki Smith had a big bases-clearing double for the Bulls in the bottom of the fourth inning. With Kobe leading 3-1 and the bases loaded, he got a changeup from Sadakazu Minami, who is tied for 9th in the WL in wins with 4, and swatted a double to right. It was his 7th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Bulls ahead, 6-1.
"A confident pitcher is a dangerous thing," said Kobe manager Joe Davis. "That's what Masali is right now."
