| Bulls Score Late to Nip Falcons, 7-6 | Matsunoki Stadium was host to some intense drama.
The Kobe Bulls defeated the Fukuoka Falcons, 7-6, in part because of left fielder Shinpei Abe. Abe was 4-5 with a triple, a double, and 2 singles. He drove in 4 runs and scored once for the Bulls. The 4th-place Falcons have lost 4 consecutive games.
The game was decided with one out in the bottom of the ninth. With Kobe trailing 6-4, Abe hit a fastball from Kijuro Fukushima for a bases-clearing double. In the blink of an eye, the Bulls had a walk-off win.
"It never gets old," said Abe. "Winning, that is."
