Konohana Stadium was the site of a competitive game between the Osaka Sailors and Kinboshi Kites.

In a tight tilt between the Kinboshi Kites and the Osaka Sailors, Keiji Tamura was the deciding factor. The Kinboshi right-hander spearheaded the 2-0 win. Matoba Miwa closed the game out for Kinboshi, earning his 8th save.

The Sailors had little chance against Tamura, who overpowered Osaka hitters and struck out 10.

Tamura told the Kinboshi Times: "I was born for the big stage."

The win for the Kites lifted their record to 26-25.
