Bulls Handle Vesutan, Snag 5-4 Win
The Kobe Bulls topped the Vesutan Bees, 5-4, in Western League action at Matsunoki Stadium. The game was highlighted by the performance of Kobe first baseman Tatsuharu Oto. Shinya Kawakami picked up his 4th save of the season. Kobe is first in the Western League with a record of 33-17.

With Kobe leading 4-2 in the bottom of the fifth, Oto came up to bat against Vesutan pitcher Niou Nagao. Oto hit a fastball to right-center for a solo home run. His 8th home run of the season put the Bulls on top, 5-2.

Oto pitched well, despite being a bit under the weather. "To be honest, I was sick before the game," he said. "Just a stomach bug."
