| Stars Lasso 4-3 Victory | The Nagasaki Stars picked up a win at Fukuoka Stadium, knocking off the Fukuoka Falcons, 4-3. Starting pitcher Yugoro Koyama played a key role in the triumph. Nagasaki reliever Tetsushi Kondo was the winner. His record is now 5-4. Shinpo Yamasaki took the loss. The Stars raised their record to 25-24.
It could have been a different outcome for Nagasaki, had it not been for Sakan Inoue, the 28-year old third baseman . Inoue contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put Nagasaki up, 4-3.
Koyama attributed the win to his team's "focus and intensity."
