| Stars Rack Up 4-1 Win Versus Kobe | The Nagasaki Stars got a rain-soaked win over the Kobe Bulls.
Akimasa Murakami was locked and loaded, helping the Nagasaki Stars beat the Kobe Bulls, 4-1. Murakami, who finished 5th in the WL in ERA with 2.88 in 1964, went the distance for Nagasaki. He gave up 1 run on 1 hit.
With Nagasaki trailing 1-0 in the bottom of the second, Murakami hit a sinker from Roku Yamakawa for a 3-run home run. It was his 1st home run of the season and put the Stars ahead, 3-1.
"I was determined to go the distance," said Murakami.
Nagasaki raised its record to 29-21 with the win. | |
