| Nagasaki Upended, 6-4, by Fukuoka | Due in large part to shortstop Itaru Nakamura, the Fukuoka Falcons sunk the Nagasaki Stars, 6-4. Nakamura went 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 3 times. Fukuoka now has a record of 32-17 with the win.
Fukuoka went in front, 6-4, on Ayato Sugiura's 5th home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which Sugiura hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Nagasaki pitcher Koson Mitsunaga visibly perturbed.
"Feels good to get the job done," Sugiura said after the game.
