| Stars Rally to Win | The Nagasaki Stars powered past the Vesutan Bees, 8-3, at Vesutan Stadium. Satoru Yamaguchi provided some of the pop. He went 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 4. The third-place Stars go to 24-23.
The result might have been different, had it not been for 16-year veteran Binya Nishi. Nishi had a 2-run double in the top of the eighth inning to put the Stars ahead, 4-3. For the game, Nishi had 1 double and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
