| Kites Capture 4-3 Win at Kotei Stadium | Josuke Fujimori, who finished 5th in the WL in strikeouts with 121 in 1956, had a strong outing for the Kinboshi Kites against the Osaka Sailors at Kotei Stadium. The left-hander was a big part of his team's 4-3 win. Mirai Watanabe closed out the game, earning his 2nd save. Kinboshi is now 25-15. Osaka is 16-18.
Michihiro Kobashi, who is tied for 6th in the WL in RBI with 29, had a direct impact on the outcome. Kobashi contributed a 2-run single in the top of the sixth inning to put Kinboshi up, 3-1.
"We came out on top and that's all I can ask for," said Fujimori.
