| 5-1 Win Gets Kinboshi to 22-19 | Kinboshi Kites starter Hanshiro Migita pitched his team past the Nagasaki Stars, 5-1. The second-place Kites are now 22-19, the Stars 20-19.
The Kites benefited from an error in the bottom of the second inning. Kinboshi was leading 1-0 when Munemitsu Kawasaki hit a run-scoring single that was misplayed. It put Kinboshi in front, 2-0.
"I'm just trying to make good contact," said Kawasaki, "one at-bat at a time."
