| Kites Deal Nagasaki 5-2 Defeat | The Kinboshi Kites got a stellar effort from pitcher Keiji Tamura, helping Kinboshi score a win over the visiting Nagasaki Stars, 5-2. The winning pitcher was Tamura, now 6-2. He tossed 7 innings of 2-hit ball, while walking 2 and fanning 5. With the win, Kinboshi upped its record to 21-19.
Munemitsu Kawasaki, who is tied for 9th in the WL with a .796 OPS, came through for Kinboshi with a run-scoring double in the bottom of the seventh. The left fielder went 2 for 3 for the game, including 1 home run and 1 double. He scored 2 runs and collected 2 runs batted in.
"Another day, another win. On to the next one," Tamura told the Kinboshi Times.
