Falcons Earn Clutch Win, 2-1 | The Fukuoka Falcons scored a tight, 2-1 win versus the Kobe Bulls at Fukuoka Stadium. Fukuoka pitcher Toshiyoshi Sakata held his own in the contest. The second-place Falcons have won 4 straight games.
The climactic moment came in the bottom of the ninth for Fukuoka. That's when Akihito Otani, who is tied for 6th in the WL in extra base hits with 16, hit a 2-run double off Shiroku Terada to win the game. The home crowd erupted in celebration.
