Matsumura Goes Deep Twice in 9-1 Sailors Win
At Fukuoka Stadium, the Fukuoka Falcons and Osaka Sailors were greeted by an enthusiastic crowd.

Bunmei Matsumura knocked in 3 runs to help Osaka beat Fukuoka, 9-1. The Matsudo, Japan native tallied 1 single and 2 home runs. By defeating Fukuoka, the 4th-place Sailors improved to 15-15.

Takahiko Kurata had a big 2-run home run for the Sailors in the top of the fourth inning. With Osaka leading 1-0 and a runner on 2nd, he got a fastball from Ryunosuke Saito, who is tied for 9th in the WL in quality starts with 4, and swatted a home run to left-center. It was his 1st home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Sailors ahead, 3-0.

"What a lackluster performance," lamented losing manager Horace Jackson.
