| Kites Suffer One-Run Loss at Vesutan | In a low-scoring affair between the Vesutan Bees and the Kinboshi Kites, pitcher Masatoshi Sakai was the difference between victory and defeat. The Vesutan right-hander earned accolades for his stellar performance in the 3-2 Bees win. The save was credited to Kiyoshi Inouye, his 3rd. Vesutan is now 15-19, while Kinboshi is 17-17.
Vesutan third baseman Shinri Fujiwara contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the third. With two down, he hit a cutter to right field for a run-scoring single. It was his 1st hit of the season and put the Bees ahead, 3-0.
"I take a professional approach to my job," said Sakai. "I've been around this game for a while."
