| Stars Get Clutch Win, 2-1 | The Fukuoka Falcons and Nagasaki Stars provided some drama for the home crowd.
Koson Mitsunaga was on the winning side of a pitcher's duel at Nagasaki Prefecture Stadium. In fact, the Nagasaki Stars right-hander was instrumental in his team's 2-1 victory over the Fukuoka Falcons. With the win, Nagasaki pushed its record to 34-25.
The decisive blow was delivered by Michiki Ichikawa in the bottom of the tenth when he hit a run-scoring double off 33-year old left-handed pitcher Tatsuhito Watanabe to win the game for Nagasaki. The home crowd went nuts.
"This stadium was a-rockin'," said Mitsunaga.
