In a low-scoring tilt between the Osaka Sailors and the Vesutan Bees, Kinnosuke Shimabukuro, who finished 3rd in the WL in ERA with 2.49 last year, was the difference-maker. The Osaka right-hander spearheaded the 3-2 win. Haruki Ogawa closed out the game, earning his 2nd save. Osaka is now 7-23.

It was a masterful performance from the popular Shimabukuro, who notched 10 strikeouts in 8.2 innings while allowing 5 hits. Shimabukuro, who finished 2nd in the WL in strikeouts with 177 last year, goes to 2-4 on the year with 37 strikeouts.

"I'm just out there trying to have as much fun as I can while I'm playing," Shimabukuro told the Osaka Citizen.
