The Fukuoka Falcons and Kobe Bulls put on a pitchers' duel.

The Fukuoka Falcons claimed a close win over the Kobe Bulls, due in large part to Isaburo Muraoka. The Fukuoka left-hander pitched a great game to secure the 2-0 win. Shinpo Yamasaki picked up his 3rd save of the season.

The Falcons got a big at-bat from first baseman Yasuhiko Kawasaki. For the game, Kawasaki went 1-3 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the top of the fourth, with the bases empty, he stroked a solo home run. His 14th home run of the season gave Fukuoka a 1-0 lead.

"The object of the game is to score more runs than they do," said Muraoka. "Mission accomplished."

The loss drops Kobe to 13-13.
