| Bulls Improve to 10-8 with 5-4 Win | Kobe left fielder Shinpei Abe was instrumental in helping the Bulls triumph, 5-4, over the Fukuoka Falcons. Abe was 3 for 4 with a double and 2 singles, while scoring 3 times. Shiroku Terada earned save number 5 this season. Losses have been rare for the Falcons, who are now 14-6.
The Bulls got a big hit from right fielder Ryuunosuke Okamoto. Facing Fukuoka pitcher Toshiyoshi Sakata in the bottom of the fifth, Okamoto pounded a run-scoring double to center. His 3rd double of the season put the Bulls ahead, 5-0.
"I'll probably toss and turn tonight," Fukuoka manager Horace Jackson said, following the tough loss.
