The Kobe Bulls topped the Fukuoka Falcons, 3-2, in Western League action at Fukuoka Stadium. The standout performance belonged to Kobe pitcher and Kumagaya, Japan, native Yoshimatsu Yamamura. The win lifts Kobe to a record of 16-10.
Who knows how it would've ended, had it not been for Masu Osaki? The 13-year veteran Osaki stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the seventh inning to put Kobe up, 3-1. For the game, he was 2 for 4, including 1 double and 1 single.
