| With 5-2 Win, Bulls Improve to 11-11 | Kobe beat Vesutan on the strength of starting pitcher Toshitada Morino's fine effort. The right-hander led his team to a win, 5-2. Morino got the win, improving to 3-1. He gave up 6 hits and walked 3 over 7.1 innings. He allowed 2 runs. Kiyomitsu Wada got the save, the 5th for him this season.
Yutaka Abe was 1 for 4. He scored 2 runs for Kobe. The former first round draft pick had a key at-bat in the bottom of the fourth. With no one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 0-0 tie with a run-scoring ground out off Tatsuki Goto. It was his 3rd RBI of the season.
"When Toshitada is on, he can really move the ball around," said Kobe manager Joe Davis.
The Bees, now 7-12, continue their poor start.
