Bees Lose to Bulls in Walk-Off
It was pandemonium at Matsunoki Stadium after an exciting walk-off win.

The Kobe Bulls topped the Vesutan Bees by a score of 6-5. Leading the way was center fielder Jouta Hayashida. Hayashida went 3 for 4 with 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice for the Bulls. Kakuya Izumi, who finished 5th in the WL in wins with 12 in 1966, was the winner. He's now 4-0. The loser was Kiyoshi Inouye.

In the bottom of the ninth, with two out and the game tied, 5-5, nine-time Noburu Kagawa Award winner Tatsuharu Oto won it for Kobe. With a runner on 3rd, Oto hit a 2-0 fastball from Toshimichi Yamamoto for a run-scoring single, giving his team the 6-5 win.

"I take a professional approach to my job," said Oto. "I've been around this game for a while."

With the loss, Vesutan drops to 12-9.
