| Bees Prevail, 8-6, Over Osaka | Dedicated fans weathered the storm to watch their beloved Bees beat the Sailors.
Good production from left fielder Susumu Ishii helped the Vesutan Bees topple the Osaka Sailors, 8-6. Ishii went 4-5 with a triple, a double, and 2 singles. He scored 3 times for the Bees. Tatsuki Goto got the win, improving to 1-2. He pitched 5 innings, giving up 2 hits and 2 runs, while striking out 4 and walking 4.
In the bottom of the fourth, Vesutan shortstop Masao Shiotani had a productive at-bat. With the bases loaded and one out, Shiotani stroked a 2-run single to center. It made the score 5-2, Vesutan. For the game, he went 3-4 with 3 singles and a walk, while adding 3 RBI.
"It wasn't our best performance," said Shiotani, "but a win in this league is nothing to sniff at."
The win gives Vesutan a record of 9-6.
