| Sailors Drop Another One, 11-5 | Fukuoka beat Osaka in a rain-soaked ballgame.
The Fukuoka Falcons topped the Osaka Sailors, 11-5, with catcher Kazunari Suzuki playing a big role. Suzuki went 4 for 5 with a home run and 3 singles, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once for the Falcons in the win. Shuuji Ishii snagged the win in relief. He goes to 1-0 on the season. Kuniaki Usui suffered the loss.
With Fukuoka leading 6-5 in the top of the eighth, Suzuki batted against Osaka pitcher Haruki Ogawa. Suzuki hit a curveball to left-center for a grand slam home run. His 2nd home run of the season put the Falcons on top, 10-5.
"A great team win and something real positive we can build on," said Suzuki after the game.
Osaka falls to 4-14.
