| Bees Tag Stars with 4-2 Loss | Vesutan got a strong outing from Art Marx as the Bees defeated the Nagasaki Stars, 4-2, at Fukuoka Stadium. Marx, now 1-2, was the winner. In 7.1 innings, he gave up 6 hits, while striking out 4, walking 3, and allowing 2 runs. Losses have been few and far between for the Stars, now 13-4.
In the bottom of the sixth, Vesutan third baseman Kazukuni Morinaga had a productive at-bat. With a runner on 2nd and one out, Morinaga stroked a run-scoring single to center. It made the score 3-2, Vesutan. For the game, he went 1 for 3 with a walk.
After the game, Vesutan manager Jim Harper applauded the team's effort. "They busted their humps out there," he said.
