| Stars Better Falcons, 3-2 | Nagasaki Stars starter Tatsuo Sato led his team to victory over the Fukuoka Falcons, 3-2. The right-hander was locked-in. Sato picked up the win for Nagasaki, going 7.1 innings. He gave up 2 runs on 6 hits. He now sports a record of 3-1. Masato Yamamoto closed it out for his 3rd save.
Nagasaki relied on the hitting of Shou Okuda to pick up the win. The center fielder ripped a run-scoring single in the top of the fifth inning to put the Stars on top, 3-1. For the game, Okuda had 1 triple and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"We hit some balls hard and didn't get rewarded for it," said Fukuoka manager Horace Jackson.
The Falcons are now 6-10 this season.
