Smith Swings Bulls to 8-6 Win
The Kobe Bulls defeated the Fukuoka Falcons, 8-6, at Fukuoka Stadium. Kobe second baseman Takaki Smith had a superb performance. He was 4-5 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2. Shinya Kawakami, who is a three-time All-Star, nailed down the save. The loss drops Fukuoka to 3-5.

Oscar Abbott helped out the Kobe cause in the top of the sixth inning with a run-scoring walk. For the game, the right fielder went 1 for 3 with 2 walks, while scoring 2 runs.
