Kinboshi starter Teruaki Koyama pitched well against the Osaka Sailors at Kotei Stadium. The right-hander led his team to a win, 3-2. With the win, Kinboshi is 4-1.
Kinboshi used the timely hitting of Mitsuyasu Takeno to seize the win. The right fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Kites on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in 2 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
Kinboshi manager Kaita Kurosawa praised his team's "businesslike approach."
