Stars Pull Off Thrilling 3-2 Win in Extras
Nagasaki starter Koson Mitsunaga pitched well against the Vesutan Bees at Nagasaki Prefecture Stadium. The right-hander led his team to a win, 3-2, in 14 innings. Dick Champ picked up the win in relief. Tadataka Ohira took the loss for Vesutan. Nagasaki is now 1-1.

Nagasaki got a game-changing hit from Satoru Yamaguchi. The catcher blasted a solo home run in the bottom of the 14th inning to win the game. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a winner.

"There's never a lack of effort in our clubhouse. We're willing to do the little things to get the win," Mitsunaga told the Nagasaki Herald.
