| Denki Rallies for 6-3 Win | The game between Denki and Sapporo is in the books, despite a little rain.
Denki pitcher Takehiro Moriyama did his part in helping his team beat the Sapporo Bears, 6-3. The right-hander kept opposing batters from doing too much damage. Yoshiharu Miyagi, who was drafted in the 2nd round of the 1972 draft, earned the save for Denki.
Denki used the clutch hitting of Hiroji Yokota to snag the win. The pinch hitter drilled a 3-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Dynamics ahead, 6-3. It was his lone hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a crucial one.
"Feels good to get the job done," Moriyama said after the game.
With this game in the books, Denki is 74-64, Sapporo 58-80.
