| Tight Tilt Goes to Bulls, 3-2 | In a low-scoring tilt between the Kobe Bulls and the Nagasaki Stars, Sumiteru Yoshida, who is tied for 4th in the WL with a 4.28 ERA, was the difference-maker. The Kobe right-hander spearheaded the 3-2 win. Yoshida yielded 2 runs over 9 innings to notch the win. He scattered 8 hits, walked 5, and struck out 4. His record improves to 2-4. The victory puts Kobe at 13-20.
Tsuneyo Ota, who is tied for 4th in the WL in triples with 2, had a direct impact on the outcome. Ota contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the fourth inning to put Kobe up, 3-0.
"Every time I step on the mound, I want to go out there and compete and bring my best game," said Yoshida.
