| Komatsu Top-Notch as Bears Stop Kingfishers, 3-0 | In a tight tilt between the Sapporo Bears and the Yokohama Kingfishers, Arata Komatsu was the deciding factor. The Sapporo right-hander spearheaded the 3-0 win. Kazou Nakamoto notched his 6th save of the season. Sapporo is now 71-52, Yokohama 60-67.
Komatsu gave Sapporo a solid start. The right-hander allowed no runs on 3 hits over 8 innings.
"Arata's not intimidated by who's stepping into the batter's box," said Sapporo manager Earl Higgins.
