| Yokohama Drops Another One, 7-3 | Good production from center fielder Ryunosuke Kodama helped the Hosho Reliables topple the Yokohama Kingfishers, 7-3. Kodama was 3 for 3 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2 for the Reliables. The first-place Reliables have their sights set on making a deep playoff run.
Tenmu Kurosawa went 1-4 with a walk for Hosho. The 24-year old shortstop had a key at-bat in the bottom of the seventh. With no one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 2-2 tie with a run-scoring walk off Motokazu Oyama. It was his 39th walk of the season.
"I really like what we did out there today," Kodama said after the game.
