Hideharu Nomura helped his team muscle past the Yokohama Kingfishers, 11-4. In the game, the Rakisuta shortstop went 2-3 with a home run and 3 walks, while scoring 4 times and driving in 2. Yoshimatsu Shiina got the win, improving to 12-8. He worked 7 innings, giving up 4 runs on 8 hits, while striking out 5 and walking 1.
With no one out in the top of the eighth, Go Yagi had a game-changing hit. The Rams left fielder slammed a 2-run single off Taishi Yoshimura, making the score 6-4, Rakisuta.
"Anytime I can help the team, I feel good about it," said Yagi.
Today's win puts Rakisuta at 62-67, while Yokohama falls to 51-78.
