Nagoya Minami Stadium was host to some intense drama.

The Hosho Reliables in 10 innings downed the Rakisuta Rams, 4-3, at Nagoya Minami Stadium. Magohachi Tanoue led the way, going 3-for-4 for Hosho. Hosho pitcher Motomu Taira got the win. He's now 3-4. Yoshimatsu Shiina was tagged with the loss.

Hosho got a knockout punch from Yukio Watanabe. The first baseman hammered a solo home run in the bottom of the tenth inning to win the game. It might've been his only hit, but it decided the outcome.

Watanabe attributed the win to "a well-rounded effort by the whole team."

The first-place Reliables, at 84-44, lead the Eastern League by 13½ games.
