| Bears Win at Denki, 7-4 | The game between Sapporo and Denki is in the books, despite a little rain.
Torai Yamamoto left his imprint on the 7-4 Sapporo win against the Denki Dynamics. Yamamoto, who is tied for 5th in the EL in hits with 131, went 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Shigeto Kawakami earned the win after being summoned from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed 4 runs on 4 hits in 4.1 innings. He upped his record to 1-0.
The Bears got a big at-bat from right fielder Ukyo Ota. For the game, Ota was 1 for 4 with a double. In the top of the first, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 20th double of the season gave Sapporo a 1-0 lead.
"Winning is always a team effort," Yamamoto said after the game.
The Bears, at 50-64, inhabit 5th place in the Eastern League.
