| Hirao hits 2 home runs in Dynamics Win | The Denki Dynamics beat the Sapporo Bears, 8-2, at Kanda Stadium. The win was due in part to first baseman Kinnojo Hirao, who hit 2 home runs, while adding 6 RBI and scoring twice. Denki pitcher Tsuneari Nakai got the win. He's now 10-12. Naruki Shimada was tagged with the loss. The triumph puts Denki at 65-56 for the season.
Hirao contributed a big hit, a grand slam home run, for Denki in the bottom of the fifth. With his team trailing 2-0, Hirao took a changeup from Naruki Shimada and stroked the home run to center. His 34th home run of the season allowed the Dynamics to leap in front, 4-2.
"Our approach was just to try to see something over the plate and be aggressive," Hirao told the Denki Gazette.
