Led by Tensui Kato, the Kyoto Owls defeated the Hosho Reliables, 6-3. Kato was 1 for 2 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 times for the Owls. The victory gives Kyoto a record of 65-56.
Masaru Abe, who is rated as the 47th best prospect by BNN, helped out the Kyoto cause in the bottom of the sixth inning with a run-scoring walk. For the game, the pinch hitter drew 1 walk.
