| Denki Gets 4-1 Win | Yoshimatsu Shiina, who is tied for 6th in the EL in strikeouts with 120, never let the Reliables get in a groove. The right-hander used his bread and butter, his fastball, to pitch the Dynamics to a win, 4-1. Shiina got the win, improving to 11-9. He gave up 5 hits and walked 1 over 8 innings. He allowed 1 run. The Dynamics sport a record of 42-64.
Satoshi Takahashi, who finished 5th in the EL in batting average with .301 in 1958, helped out the Denki cause in the top of the third inning with a run-scoring single. For the game, the left fielder went 2 for 3 with 2 singles and a walk.
