| Owls Come Up Short at Denki, 3-2 | Denki Dynamics starter Takehiro Moriyama turned in an exceptional performance against the Kyoto Owls at Kanda Stadium, resulting in a Denki win, 3-2. Atsumi Shibata picked up his 1st save of the season. Denki has now won 3 straight, while the Owls have lost 3 in a row.
The Dynamics got a big at-bat from center fielder Sukeichi Jimbo. For the game, Jimbo was 1-4 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the sixth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 16th home run of the season gave Denki a 3-1 lead.
"It'd be nice to win by four or five runs," Jimbo said, "instead of holding our breath the whole game."
