Rams Earn Win with Late Rally
The Yokohama Kingfishers wasted an impressive 7-inning effort from starter Bill Sauerwein, falling, 1-0, to the Rakisuta Rams at Rakisuta Stadium. Rakisuta pitcher Sadato Hayakawa got the win, upping his record to 4-5. Yoisuke Nishizawa got the loss. The Rakisuta winning streak has reached 3 games.

The Rams got a clutch hit from first baseman Motokuni Nakamura. In the bottom of the ninth, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Rams.

"That's baseball," said Yokohama manager Masayoshi Nozawa. "You're not always going to be hitting on all cylinders."
