| Reliables Slip Past Rams, 5-3 | Hosho took on Rakisuta in front of a lively crowd.
Daijiro Nakamura made an impact in the 5-3 Hosho win over Rakisuta. Nakamura, who is tied for 2nd in the EL in triples with 4, was 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Hosho pitcher Naruto Noda got the win, upping his record to 10-7. Sadato Hayakawa got the loss.
Had Nakamura not come through in the top of the eighth, who knows how the game would've ended? But with two down, Nakamura hit a 2-run home run. The Reliables took the lead, 5-3, and never looked back.
"We're not really clicking on anything right now," said Rakisuta manager Kinzo Yoshimura.
The Rams have now dropped 5 straight.
