| Kyoto Offense Jammed Up by Kingfishers | The umbrellas came out during the Yokohama-Kyoto contest at Owls Park.
The Yokohama Kingfishers beat the Kyoto Owls, 4-1, at Owls Park. Starting pitcher Kiyoji Nakamura was a big reason why. He held his opponent in check all game. Masaru Ryu got the save, his 3rd in 4 chances.
Yokohama used the hitting of Yodo Otsuki to pick up the win. The third baseman clubbed a solo home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Kingfishers on top, 3-1. For the game, Otsuki had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"When Kiyoji is on, he can really move the ball around," said Yokohama manager Johnny Ruby.
Yokohama has run its win streak to 4 in a row.
