The Hosho Reliables grabbed a win, 5-0, over the Denki Dynamics at Kanda Stadium. Hosho second baseman Yasunori Smith was 3-4 with 3 singles. Yoshii Mizuno picked up the win in relief. His record improves to 2-2. Hisao Ibe suffered the loss.
Denki had a runner on 1st in the bottom of the seventh. With one out, Okura Ichimura stood at the plate, hoping to find a gap. Instead, he flied out. The score remained 2-0, Hosho. The Dynamics never could mount a comeback.
The Reliables improved their record to 67-57 by beating Denki.
